6/7/08 - With only 8 weeks left in my pregnancy (due 28th august) not a lot has been happening with the horses.  At this stage we will be only sending 2 mares out to stud this season Arinlea Royal Obsession and Sanlirra Devotion.   We are still unsure who will be in the 2008/2009 show team and what shows we will be attending  but we do hope to be back in the ring by late November early December.

26/3/08 Cherishwood Serenity has been sold to NSW we wish her new owners the very best of luck with her. News from Tassie is that Cherishwood Ohh La La is currently being broken in and progressing extremely well. We look forward to seeing Mia out and about come spring.

Huge congratulations to Darlton Park Sport Ponies with Darlton park Vancouver (dam Arinlea Royal Obsession) with a 1st in the ARP 2+ 3 yo colt class and 3rd place in the 2 year old RP colt class

Weaning has began with  Cherishwood City Lights + Cherishwood Princess Royal  both in the stables, the big boys turn will be in 3 weeks

22/02/08 Due to my pregnancy the stud will only be attending one show this year that being the Melbourne Summer Royal with Cherishwood Design and Dartlon Park Royal Octave. We are unsure as of yet whether or not we will foal show any of the foals.

2/2/08-  Dunelm Sculpture  has been accepted in all classes for the 2008 Sydney Royal show entered however after much deliberation we have decided to withdraw her. C. Ooh La La  has been sold to Tasmania we wish her new owners the very best of luck with her. Mia is set to become a child pony for her new owners 10 year son and 5 year old daughter.

2/1/07 - Over the christmas new year break we were able to get some updated photos of this season foals which can be seen on the foal page. We also had out 8 year old Madalyn Waugh to have a few rides on  our newcomer Darlton Park Royal Octave who is currently for sale. Picture left is Mad and Nick on their first ride.

14/12/07- As Christmas is approaching we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year

30/11/07 Our forth and finial foal for the season was born in the early hours of the morning. Dun Na Mara Lodge Oriana foaled a big black colt to be named Cherishwood On the Prowl. Picture to come. Nate is a 1/2 brother to   Cherishwood Opalescent (Pearl) owned by Rachel Giordimaina who has just returned from the breakers and progressing extremely well. Pictured left photo credit Terry Family.

9/11/07 -  Avonlea Sketch returned a 21 day positive pregnancy test today to Dainhill Octave The resulting foal will be a full sibling to C. Design and C. Outline

8/11/07 -  Our third foal for the season arrived at 3.30am. Sanlirra Devotion foaled a big bay colt  with a white star to be named Cherishwood Dreaming.

Left: Dreaming (3 days old) City Lights (3 days old) Right: Royal Obsession 7 days old)

7/10/07 - Our second foal for the season arrived at 2.45am. Sanlirra Country Flirt foaled a chestnut filly  with a white blaze, one white socking and two socks to be named Cherishwood City Lights.

3/10/07 - Our first foal for the season arrived at 10.45pm. Arinlea Royal Obsession foaled a bay filly with a star and one hind white sock to be named Cherishwood Princess Royal. We are extremely lucky with Royal Obsession when we found her very depressed and the bloods returned showing muscle damage which usually indicates a snake bite. Thankfully it wasn't a full bite and the foal is still alive and both should make a full recovery.

28/09/07- Due to the EI outbreak, our plans for this coming show season have been put on hold. However the ponies in the show team are still being prepared for when the season does start up again.  With no shows we have been able to do many of those on the winter list jobs. The arena is now fully fenced and we have just finished 3 show paddocks in post and rail. We were very excited to win the Victorian Riding Pony stallion tender to Dainhill Octave. This stallion is a favorite of ours, already having 4 of his progeny with another 2 due this season. Avonlea Sketch heads down to Dunelm Stud tomorrow. The resulting foal will be a full sibling to C. Design and C. Outline and a 3/4 sibling to Dunelm Sculpture.
