Well what a big two weeks we have had. Firstly the 2010 APSB Vic stud show at bendigo where we took a team of three ponies.

We then headed off to the 2010 Melbourne Royal Summer Horse show with Design and Sculpture.

Since it has been a busy couple of weeks we have decided not to head up to Bendigo again for VASA ltd HOTY, rather resting the ponies for Barastoc HOTY in Feb.

Our first show for 2010 we took a team of 3 ponies down to Wonthaggi Ag to support the Riding Pony qualifying ring. Cherishwood Design was reserve champion led senior and champion newcomer, Dunelm Sculpture was Reserve Show hunter under saddle and at her very first show Cherishwood Princess Royal (pictured left) was Reserve champion led youngstock. Princess Royal was also Champion led APSB RP and Dunelm Sculpture Champion led and ridden APSB Part bred.

Due to a head cold and a big few weeks coming up with the stud show, summer royal and VASA i decided to stay home on the sunday and rest up hence no open saddle performances

Our last foal for the season was born at a civilized hour of 9.30am this morning. Arinlea Royal Obsession had tiny and petite bay filly sired by the beautiful Welsh B Stallion Weston Park Mercury. She has been named Cherishwood Royal Marchioness and should mature small pony and will be offered for sale (pictured right just after being born) Sadly as we are downsizing the stud to concentrate on our young family this will be our last foal for a few years.

Team Cherishwood had a fantastic  weekend of showing. Dunelm Sculpture headed off to Warrambool Ag with Rachel and was sashed Champion ridden show hunter in the riding pony qualifying ring and Reserve Champion Saddle Galloway in the open ring. Cherishwood Design and myself head the other direction to Sale Ag where Delta won her saddle class in the first  open ring again and then sashed Reserve Champion large saddle pony.

Our first show for the season and my first show back in the saddle in 2 years was Berwick Pony Club pre Royal on 13/ 09/09. We took C.Design down for her first time out under saddle and she didn't disappoint winning both her saddle classes.  Dunelm Sculpture has also been out and about at the pre royals with  Rachel Giordimaina gaining champion or reserve under saddle at each outing.

Darlton Park Royal Octave has been sold and will be staying here in Victoria, We wish his new owners all the very best of success this season with Nick and look forward to seeing him out under saddle

Its been a little while since my last update, Both C.Design and Darlton Park Royal Octave are back in ready to make their debut out under saddle this season as newcomers. We also have in Royal Octaves' full sister. C Princess Royal and Designs full sister C. Illustrate. Both of these fillies will be shown at the youngstock shows later this year. Arinlea Royal Obsession (who is the dam of Royal Octave and Princess Royal) and her stable mate Sanlirra Devotion  are up in the house paddocks in preparation for foaling as they are due in just over 5 weeks.

Emma Mitchell who owns C. Marcel have been out an about proudly flying the Cherishwood flag, Last season they gained many champion pony's, champion riders and smartest on parade's. They also placed at Barastoc HOTY including a win in the Mount Rider and equipment class.   Emma also made the semi finals for her rider class in 8 & Under 12 years . During the of season they have been competing in PC dressage and have gone on to the NSW PC state dressage championships. Massive congrats.
